Guru Dr. H.R. Nagendra Leads Meditation
Session at Indian Consulate in New York

hosted a special meditation session
led by renowned yoga master Guru
Dr. H.R. Nagendra on the occasion
of the 12th International Day of
Yoga. The event brought together
members of the diplomatic corps,
academia, business community,
yoga institutions, spiritual organiza-
tions and the Indian-American com-
munity.
Welcoming the participants,
Consul General Binaya Pradhan
said yoga continues to gain popular-
ity in the United States, as reflected
in the growing number of yoga prac-
titioners and the increasing partici-
pation in yoga centres and commu-
nity events.
During the session, Guru Dr.
H.R. Nagendra guided participants
through meditation practices and
spoke about the role of meditation
in promoting inner peace, mental
